A travel blog entry by ljubow on Mar 30, 2014

... had to fill out the migration card and I happened to have already some troubles to fill it out.. Luckily an old man on the other side of the corridor helped me. It seems to be rather strict with all the departure dates and host person details.. Anyway it doesn't feel like I am actually going to St. Petersburg, of course I am a bit nervous and even scared, but I don't realize it ...

... time too, is very hard to get used to in a Finnish Summer. There is no actual night at this time of year. Our bodies are not used to this and even if the curtains are pulled, we go to sleep when it is still light and wake up at 2.00 or 3.00 in the morning to full daylight and have difficulty going back to sleep. ... a great day and because we had driven past Lahti, were only about 45minutes from AK&Z so Sunday we drove to Jarvenpaa in the morning and returned to Kangasala in the afternoon.

Sunday evening we had our last sauna in Finland when we stopped with Pekka & family again, returned our hire car Monday morning and took a train back to Jarvenpaa. Time here in Finland is getting short now with only about a week to go........has all been wonderful.

We both now know why there isn't much about the east side of the centre in the guidebooks, it's because there isn't that much there. We found a small food market and bought some (scrummy) blueberries and strawberries as well as the famed and in season (not quite as scrummy) cloudberries. We also discovered another ferry point that will take us to ...

Birthday(s) stopover in Orimattila!

... Now it seems to be an old mistake of riding my tank completely dry so the carborator shuts down and my benzinepomp does not work anymore or my benzinepomp has almost given up. As the replacement will cost me hundreds of euros I take my change and am back on the street again hoping it was the first problem. So far so good! The bike is still running... Arriving late in the evening, cold to the bone but with my bike! Birthday party time at the neighbours, so going over there for ...
