    ... Llangollen and had lunch at a cafe on the Dee river, before climbing up the other side of the river to see the horses where the horse-drawn canal boat trips leave from. We didn't want to do a trip because we felt bad about the horse having to pull the boat along, but we saw that the horses didn't have to pull very *******ce the boat was moving, and the horses seemed to be healthy and well cared for.  We still didn't do the trip though.     It is not very often that weather stops us doing anything on our travels. Today we woke to rain and high winds and our planned train trip up Mt. Snowdon was cancelled. Just as well we travel with IPads. A quick search of the area and we found 2 activities that can be done inside out of the weather.     Met our tour guide Judy and set off to Bangor Pier. It's a traditional British pier with views over to Anglesey, towards the Irish Sea one way and the Menai suspension bridge the other way.
