I had a good day. A day that deserves to be recapped in detail, then briefly reflected upon.

... then on we went through rolling countryside. Mostly wheat fields; a few vineyards. We passed one dairy farm - no pasture as the cows were kept inside or in concrete yards outside the barns, fed on hay. Poor things, they were filthy dirty and looked very sad. Not pleasant.

... Via de la Plata, which was true. It felt strange to pass an open bar, but by 12.30 I was unable to resist a sign offering toast so had a large second breakfast before crossing an enormous Roman bridge which was undergoing repairs and had single file pedestrians.
