I had set the alam to 6:45 am and was up by 7. I wanted to reconsider our options, find a solution to our situation. C made a coffee and went back to our cabin, starting to pack our things. I called our charter company in Athens a couple of times and finally left a detailed message, describing our current situation and position, and requesting a callback for further assistance. No one called back. I also called the Yacht Service at our destination, but no one picked ...

Arrived, wind blown and wind weary ...

Then we walked through the park towards the museum and found the eternal flame site. When you look back through the arch into the flame, the A-bomb Dome is in the background, very moving sight. It was then into the museum for a detailed explanation of what happened and mementoes of clothing, ...

An expensive but beautiful sunset

A travel blog entry by anlnewby on Jun 10, 2015

... we headed straight into the thick of the township again but tried to stay away from the crowds. Coming back into town area Lisa stopped at a shop with nice clothes. Thank god she didn't buy anything. It was now lunchtime and having had somewhere recommended to us by the hotel we set off to try and find it. Thankfully the clothes shop was five metres from the place. Food was great and cheap. Our favourite things these days, gyros. Off on the ...
