Travel Blogs from Venice
5 October We were picked up around 10am this morning and boarded a relatively quiet bus to Venice. As the season is coming to a close (end of October) lots of people have finished, or are finishing up their trips. Ours included. So we were back to Italy, to conclude our trip in a nostalgic kind of way. We arrived at Camping Jolly around 5pm and checked-in to our little private bungalow. No more shared dorms now, thought we'd treat ourselves to some comfort for our last 10 days. The weather ...
We woke up and set out to see the 'tourist' areas of Venice. Where we were staying was on the other side of the island. Well not really one island as Venice is made up of 118 small islands that are connected via bridges. There are no cars and everyone gets around by walking. There were a lot of tourists in Venice.

We met our "new friend" David who led us over the many bridges and alleyways through town to an apartment down one of the side streets. Immediately falling in love with Venice and the apartment we tried to get a second night. Unfortunately the apartment ...
... while we waited for the boat to take us back to our B&B.
Arriving back we figured we would pack for the trip home, as the next day was our last and we would end it at a hotel near the airport, so we had to be packed before we left in the morning. These plans were interrupted when we discovered that Rebecca was online and we video chatted with her and Avery, and then with Marcus, Zoe, and Aviva. We finally got to bed after midnight, but at least we were more or less packed.
