There were few people around in the terminal – in fact there were only half a dozen check in people there so all in all it was pretty quick.
First impressions when on board –what a lovely elegant ship ...
... instant that it was different to rely on a Wifi connection. Long story short - Pauline could've helped me more but I wasn't able to contact her except via email (when I had wifi) and she isn't on it all the time so there was a delay in her seeing my updates. I feel quite bad that she was waiting around all morning for me and with her phone in hand in case I called, but in the end she was able to pick me up at a bus stop and take me to their "unit" ...
... busy but a great evening and I ate an oyster for the first time ever! It was a buffet that did not move but because the seats did it was never in the same place! Good people watching as really busy and such a mix of people.
The Rocks where our hotel is situated has a market on Saturday morning where the street is closed to traffic and the stalls are all full of crafts and food and drink. It was a great way to spend a couple of hours and we did ...
... streets. Paddington is one of the most desirable areas to live in Sydney and it isn't difficult to see why. Delightful terraced houses adorned with intricate wrought iron balconies brighten the streets with a multitude of colours.
So, there are three suburbs of Sydney, each with it's own individual style and essence. What I love most about visiting new places is seeing where people really live their lives. If only we'd had time to see them all!
