      ... long after we have checked in the clouds have settled in and the rain that had been threatening all day, finally arrives. Oh well, the hotel is very comfortable, warm and well equipped with coffee and dinner options.

      Besides, which the hotel has a good Wifi connection, so we are able to catch up with our blog and add more photos.

      I heard of Oxford because it is famous for their university. There have been quite a few movies that I have watched when Oxford University was mentioned, so I thought it would be interesting to make a stop here. If it is mentioned in movies, it must be good.       ... shot of gin, shot of vodka, shot of lime cordial mixed with a Smirnoff Red) and the banter started. Went to Wetherspoons - which is a franchise bar here in the UK, and a place I hadn't been to since I was last with the boys at Bingley Wetherspoons buying Max cigarettes and pints because he had no money. Haha. So it was appropriate that this was our first pub of the night.

      Arrived home early Tues am from a trip of a lifetime.

      What an awesome experience, seen and did so much is such a short space of time,
      glad I have the pictures to look back on to remember it all.

      Was a whistle stop tour of 5 countries in 31 days, where I travel led 47,000 miles including 9 flights, 3 ferry ...

      ... and highway control van drove allong the emergency lane stopping every 200 metres or so and put up signs saying two lanes were blocked about a mile ahead.

      It took another half an hour to go that mile and we saw what happens when things on the motor way go bad. It was they had blocked four lanes, two in both directions, as an accident had clearly happened. By the time we got there the cars had been taken away but ...
