Peaceful Escape at Hotel Madhuban
from LF2828 on 2006-11-24
We loved the sunny charm of this hotel. The rooms were bright and clean with nice decor - they felt much more like a home than a hotel. Service was great, food was good - we really enjoyed relaxing in the garden and the little courtyards between the rooms on the top floor. Would definitely recommend this hotel as an alternative to the luxury resorts.
Sauberes ruhiges Hotel
from Feige on 2006-10-25
Lovely hotel - peaceful retreat from bustling city
from dwne on 2006-10-11
Lovely room, friendly staff, restaurant food pretty good. Nice garden area for breakfast / drinks, with candlelit performances in the evening. In a quiet residential area 10 minutes rickshaw ride from town centre - too far to walk but rickshaws always available. Highly recommended.
A great place to stay

We stayed at the Madhuban for three nights (suite and super deluxe). We booked direct with the hotel via email. It was really easy. The hotel was an oasis of calm in a frenetic city. They are thoroughly used to western tourists - lots of Lonely Planets/Rough Guides in a number of languages visible at breakfast.
We were met at the railway station at four in the morning - our train was six hours late. The rooms are really nice and the beds are very comfortable. We ate breakfast in the garden each day - proper poached eggs and toast with jam. It was just the kind of food my stomach craved after nearly three weeks in India.
My wife and kids tried the Massage bookable through the hotel and really enjoyed it.
When we left the hotel booked us a car and driver to take us to Fort Neemrana and on to Delhi the next day.
My only very minor gripe was that I couldn't get a cup of coffee at 11pm. The kitchen isn't open late.
I would certainly stay there again if I'm ever fortunate enough to go back to Jaipur.
The Highlight of our trip
from Barkasz on 2006-08-11
Madhuban was the only hotel in India that we booked in advance but it was worth it cos it seems to be very popular.
We were on low budget but still it was affordable. Rooms are beautiful.I love the doors and the padylocks.
By the time we got to Jaipur we really needed hot water , clean beds and all this luxury. Madhuban has it all , even more:)))
Wonderful Madhuban

2 girls travelling in India ...not very easy!
We stayed 2 nights at the madhuban and it was a very good surprise.
Nice swimming pool, peaceful garden, nice looking rooms and very clean.
Rooms are not expensive compare to Delhi where it's harder to find a correct room for a good price.
Now our indian guide suggest the madhuban for a pleasant stay in Jaipur!
Excellent, very good value Hotel
from fordia on 2006-04-04
Stayed in the Madhuban for 3 nights, the room was exceptionally good value, very clean, bright, looked very newly furbished. It was in a lovely area of Jaipur and only 10 minutes by autorickshaw (and less than a dollar each way) from the Old Town.
The staff were not overly friendly, but definitely not rude and more than helpful and accommodating.
For Rs1200 per night for a Super Deluxe room (just over $30/night) the value was the best I came across in India.
Highly recommended!

December 2005 stay
from Chasse13 on 2006-01-03
We stayed here for one night in December 2005. Very clean and bright rooms. Excellent value for money. The food in the restaurant is good, but be aware that alcohol is not available. The staff can be a bit stern in their manner (accentuated by the military style berets that they wear), but they are efficient.
Superb boutique-type hotel
from nedhop on 2005-10-29
Madhuban is a renovated mansion. It's immaculately clean -- rooms, restaurant, hallways, everything.
The staff is helpful without being intrusive.
Quite good Mughal food is served in the restaurant, on the well manicured lawn, or in one's room.
Madhuba's location is convenient: it's in a nice residential area about a mile from the walled city and from the train station. (With a phone call the day before, the hotel will have a driver meet your train or plane.)
The hotel offers about two dozen rooms that vary in size and price. Mine was a deluxe -- at US$35 a night.
Highly recommended.
