Varna is a pretty nondescript town. Third largest in Bulgaria, with a large port and beaches. And a history of Mafia. We went to ANOTHER archeological museum. This one is known for having the oldest collection of worked gold in the world. Otherwise, a lot of Greek and Roman things. The collection is housed in the Museum of Archeology here with a few pieces on show in Sofia. While I did check out the museum in Sofia there were very few items on display hence the half day trip here ...
