... not hard to learn to swim in Crocks...
Tonight, to make up, after some icy-cold Proseco, Treas cooked a superb fresh trout, with salad, some chilled local white, and a little Amaretto as a night-cap. Nice!
I like it here and I think we might stay for a few days before we return good old Dulcie to ...

... so we were able to cane it all the way to Briançon, and look forward to our rest day.

More by luck than judgement, the place we're staying in has a kitchenette, dishwasher, heated towel rail, bath with a plug and a fridge, so it's perfect for our day off. We washed and dried our clothes, and put our bidons through the dishwasher.

We ate in the bistro attached to the hotel. Chicken cooked in beer, potatoes and a really fresh salad with proper French dressing. ...

Stoker quote of the day: "DO WE HAVE TO CYCLE THIS CLOSE TO THE EDGE!?"

Leaving Val D'Isere this morning we realised how fortunate we had been to do the D902 ascent to the village the day before, on a Sunday. There is a lot of construction going on in the village itself and there must be a lot of traffic, including heavy ...
