There is normally a very, very long cable car ride from here back to Italy, but now it is closed for maintenance. We rode up to the Aiguille du Midi peak and it lightly snowed. I again suffered from being at this altitude and was a bit "off" for the remainder of the day. This was unfortunate as we were yet to drive to L'Alpe d"Huez.

We saw very few cars going in either direction - that should have given us some clues as to how far we were off the beaten track. The resorts in this area are quiet with the winter season having finished and the summer not yet in full swing.

Susa Italy was a very cute little town nestled in a valley halfway between Briancon and Turin. We did not spend much time there but since it was the destination of our carpool, we decided to check it out before continuing to Turin. We went to a local restaurant and ate some pizza, and wandered the streets a little bit before heading to the train station.
