    Beach Paradise

A travel blog entry by anlnewby on Jun 11, 2015

Today started like the last few. An early wake up for me and a nice gentle sleep in for Lisa. Today Lisa was happy to make breakfast and did a wonderful job. The day started cloudy and we weren't sure whether it would be a good day to camp out at the beach for the whole day. We decided to go anyway and the cloud cover soon moved to a beautiful sunny day. The water was amazing and fresh like ice to our warm ...

The sea was calm again so we only did a little sailing and mostly used the motor to Mykonos, the most commercial and touristy of the Cyclades (with the exception of Santorini?).

... oh oh and a pair of togs.
Now that actually sounds quite a lot! Mind you, I am away for 7 weeks and most of you would know what I normally travel with. 3 pairs of shoes is a bit of a miracle.
And I think I have worn everything that I have brought, and they have been washed in the basin in wherever I am staying. My sard soap is disintegrating though, hopefully it will last.
right must be time to jump into bed and read my book for a while before lunch. Yep, life ...

    Quad biking!

... to go. Then no work and no tourists! Having arrived back at our hotel after three hours on the quad bike, having explored everything that could be explored and only just able to walk, nursing sore backsides and sore hips, we made a decision to hit the bar! Wine is a wonderful anaesthetic. Eventually, sufficiently recovered, we set off for a final short exploration on the bike ensuring that tomorrow we might still be able to ...
