Mom woke early and went to the dining room and though she said she sat alone I believe she "held court" greeting many old friends from both the Diocese of Michigan and the new Diocese of Eastern Michigan (which is the same territory Dad covered "back in the day".) There seems to be a tie to the RNC and the Grand Hotel...walked past the Barbara Bush suite and the Nancy Reagan room. Didnt see anything for Roslyn Carter or Hillary ...
... lay of the land. The campground offers electric at sites and we decided to test our use of water and how much we fill the tanks over 3 nights. However, with outhouses available we made full use of these as much as possible.
The next two days proved be be rain and wind which gave us a chance to organize and but didn't stop us from Geo-caching and hiking. There are tons of caches in the park ...
... taste, gentle on the palette, brilliant amber coloring, lacing on the glass present to the end, so drinkable it's scary! First wifi use since we left...very exciting indeed. Beautiful campsite right on Lake Huron...perhaps 150 feet away. Dogs in love with the smells...Michigan I love ...
