... it was and couldn't quite bring myself to try it... although IM sure my brother would have if he was there! One thing on the grill that was interesting was green onions wrapped in bacon. I make an appetizer with asparagus and a bit of cheese wrapped in proscuitto which would be quite similar. They weren't ready though so we moved on.. to gelato : ) All in all a great day and a nice evening.
... night. The next morning we hitchhiked to Sferracavalo. After one hour a couple took us directly to Sferracavalo. They were travelers too. Sailors in particular. We went to a camping were we could rest for two days because we really needed it. After this we went back to Palermo were we ended our Sicilian trip with nice Belgian food Rijs made for us. Thanks Rijs and Aretia for this amazing experience.

On a different note we were sorry to hear that the weather has been so awful in Southsea for the America's Cup racing but delighted to see that Ben is doing well. Here we have a different problem.....it is around 35 degrees most days and Dawson thinks he is Ben Ainslie, racing any boat in sight. We may have a different boat, but some things never change!
... and other ancient things in a large park, all poorly maintained, all panels with explanations completely empty,... But nice mosaics in the bathhouse.
The other thing in the park is the museum, where they have a boat - or small pieces of it at least - of the punic war. Nice, with lots of amphora and other elements they got out of the sea and the archeological field in the area.

... a big bottle of water and then noticed that we already passed the temple. No way we should go back since it was already too hot and too hilly yo go back. Moreover, on the second hill, the heat started to kill me and I had to walk the steep part of it. Too much pressure on the heart otherwise and with all the heat difficult to recover. A good lesson. Nevertheless a lesson for the next days.
