... It was lovely to spend the day with them as we had not seen them for several years. They moved originally from Aberdeen to Perth in Australia, but had moved to the Gold Coast a few years ago. We had a wonderful lunch at Surfers Paradise, which has the most amazing beach, then went back with them to their home. In the evening we went out for dinner with Clive and Deb to a Thai restaurant on Hope Island.

... We stopped at a couple of shops in Emerald to pick up a few essentials for me for the next couple of days before I saw my suitcase again.

We had lunch at an Irish Pub. I had an Aussie Burger, which is a hamburger with lettuce, tomato, a slice of beet, and a fried egg on it. It came with french fries served with a brown gravy. It was delicious, and I was full when I was done.
