Had a bit of a sleep in today and awoke to snow on the mountains across the Loch, pretty speccy. After an excellent breakfast and a couple of teas we headed off on an hour cruise on the Loch Ness. The scenery was perfect and I was the only one to venture onto the "uppers". We got back had another brew and headed to Urquart Castle for a bite of lunch then a look around the ruins. It has quite a mixed history. It was here that I realised that I no longer had any nuts as they had crawled so ...

Finding one and getting a beer called "Heather Honey", this one is for mum, or maybe one or two ...
... They sound unlike anywhere else as they have retained a lot of their Viking heritage. I really should have recorded someone talking! Carol banged on and on about Orkney Ice-cream. I will admit, when I tried the honeycomb .... I was hooked. Pity, as I highly doubt I will find it anywhere other than Scotland! Our hostel was aaaawesome. Would not be hard after Inverness YHA. Tv, own bathroom, nice big bed. As usual, not really near anything, but it ...
