... that you could go back time and time again and always see something new. we saw giant reclining buddhas, huge bronze buddhas, and lots of other amazing buildings! we are now back and dean is having a nap! we have so much more to explore here, it is an amazing place! we are staying a couple more days and then heading north to do some trekking so we will keep you updated!

... later, I went to Siam Park, an amusement park, with Patch and Nadia, who I met in D.C. and Bangkok. I was there for about 9 hours, from 10 am until it closed at 7 pm. That's how much fun it was. ... we walked a 10month old tiger up to where we were going to play with them and wash them. We played with them with sticks with plastic bags tied on the ends in a little enclosure through the water making them jump. Amazing being so close to these animals that are dangerous and can attack you. We then took them out the back and washed them down and fed them chicken now that was a bit scarey Andrew ...

When it came to the match no.7 which was the one that everybody was waiting, it seemed that the betting was getting crazier. Actually it can be clearly seen that many people came to the match not only for just enjoy the match but also, most significant reason, make a bet. Betting is illegal in Thailand but when you come inside here, it is like another world. No rule, no law ...

... Bangkok but we still managed to squeeze in a few interesting nights out. On our first night we went to get food and a massive storm started out of nowhere. The rain was hammering down. We sat in a wooden open front bar which was very cosy until the wind sprung up and a cockroach blew in and landed on Fay's face! Funny now...wasn't at the time. ... dos and donts and itinerary checking, five of us decided to go for dinner.
Then it rained... lightening flashes like paparazzi flashes... rumbles ever present and the streets began to flood. Sod it... we still walked the couple of streets to Khao San road. Perhaps 'waded' is more apt... flood water upto the knees and god-knows-what brushing past my legs within the blackened street water. An Irish Bar with live music became our mecca - a surreal ending in a surreal city.
