... have gotten out earlier? But, I am totally hooked. Its like getting to swim inside the Boston Aquarium tank and inside a Nova program at once, but so, so much better. And Nate is so sweet about sticking right by my side, so that when one of the larger fish decides to venture toward this strange new creature in his neighborhood, and I start to get scared, he just laughs and waves a flipper in its direction... and off the fish goes to tell its friends about what a scare ...

... it pushing the luggage trolley, which I turn and halt at the last moment. Then I veer right for the doorway still carried along by the trolley’s momentum. There is no doorway. It is an enormous window which I smash into, nose-first, at some speed. After a period of swaying around, I prop myself on the trolley with pain in my nose, tears in my eyes, and slightly shocked. No-one takes any notice.

... We walked onto the long deck that jetted out into the sea, like a plank walking to your destiny instead of your demise. Just the view from the raised platform that leads to your private bungalow over the sea is enough to peak any ones excitement and anticipation. ... s had mentioned something about incredibly long ferries but our heads were too full of sandy beaches and coconuts to listen.

Anyway the trip really wasn't too bad at all, just long. It gave us the chance to look afound Male and watch the locals while we waited for the ferry. We learnt quite a bit on this journey, not all of it brilliant.

Firstly were suprised when entering the Maldives how strict customs is, it's illegal to bring alcohol (or dogs!?) ...

... still. Day 3 Just a quiet day walking round the island. Saw big fish being unloaded and dragged to market where they were bought, washed and gutted. . . Needless to say Rhianwyn didn't hang round there long! But later we ate Maldivian tuna noodles :) Day 4 Another day another beach this time a natural one called Villingili where motorised vehicles weren't allowed. We chilled out in some hammocks, swam and enjoyed the beautiful warm sea. Day 5 ...
