We lived in a 34th floor apartment for around 9 weeks with two Colombian guys, a French girl and an Indonesian.. All great people and the apartment itself was outstanding. It is right in the centre of Brisbane so you have all kids of food outlets at your doorstep. The view of the bridge is incredible from either of the two balconies in our apartment. All amenities are there and the apartment is very contemporary. Tenants also get use of the gym, sauna, pool and bbq area. All in all this is by far the best place we stayed in Australia and it was all for less than we would pay in a hostel.. The staff were also very helpful and polite, highly recommended hotel.

Again to think of Loan in a cold house in Richmond St in Petone during that first year to this delightful home which would please anyone. They have worked so hard and obviously not wasted a penny. They also have two cars as Tuan needs one to get to work and Loan takes and picks up the children from school.

... chat we headed to bed, although I needed to stay up into the early hours to finish off a blog so I was thoroughly relieved when my head finally hit the pillow and I fell into a deep slumber.

We had an early start next day for Mary had offered to drive us down to a place genuinely called Surfers Paradise. The journey was quite long and I quickly dozed off in the drowsy heat of the car. It was around midday once we arrived and after saying our goodbyes to Mary we started ...

... section was devoted to the history of the aborigines from this area. It spoke about the tribes, their way of life and their history over the years.

The State Library had an exhibition about animation and its connection to the history of Australian people.

Today being Sunday most of the attractions and businesses were closing by 4 or 5 o'clock so we decided to head for home.

... near as much as on the way over, thank goodness. She was sick as soon as we arrived at Changi Airport, we made it to the toilets just in time. While we were waiting for our connecting flight to Brisbane, Alex took some more Kwells. She didn't take any on the previous flight and was sick so didn't risk flying without it again. The final flight into Brisbane was smooth, she wasn't sick, and could even eat something. And drink ...
