... short, the damn route got us lost and we ended up doing another massive detour. At rixheim, we eventually turned around to try to find any kind of river to camp on. Rivers are nice. We didnt find the rhine, but ended up staying on the banks of a kittle canal which was super pretty and a fair distance from any dodgy dog walkers!
dinner, consisting of more garlic tha pasta, followed by wine and bed was pretty much exactly what the doctor ...

... Even my little home town is buzzing on a Sunday morning. We did happen upon a military ceremony of some kind. They had a bugler, lots of French flags and they played the French national Anthem.....wish I could remember the words....Sheryl?? LOL We popped into the Textile Museum but unfortunately it was closing at midday and not reopening until 2pm. The siesta is alive and well in Mulhouse. For €9 we kept going. If you were interested in the history and design ...

A Nanna nap (donut coma) was called for before we headed out for dinner. Our hotel caters for coach tours and so the restaurant at the hotel was full and very noisy so we opted for the Turkish restaurant across the road....for old times sake!!! Well it was fantastic and refreshingly cheap. ...

... cold weather, it was just the right time for us to finish our wonderful Alps adventure. We were blessed with a safe trip, lots of great memories, and tons of photos, but after 75 days, over 7,000 miles and 64 passes, we were ready to head home. We boarded our plan in Frankfurt, happy and a little road weary, knowing that we had just completed a milestone, content with the knowledge that there were lots of great roads and places left to see – next time.

... that we bought the other day turned out to have bacon and another raw looking meat like bacon as well as the salami, so we had bacon for breakfast.

Isi then set about publishing the blog up to date in between loading the washing machine and pegging it outside. John set about sprucing up the outside as it had been far too hot before and today was just right. He removed some marks that another boats had made without us knowing so looks a lot ...
