I woke to the sounds of the outdoor market being set up two stories below our room. We dressed quickly and went to the breakfast room. After breakfast we grabbed our backpack and walked at a crisp pace to St. Mark's Square, in order to be at the front of the line when the Basilica of San Marco opened at 9:30 a.m. We were the second ones in line at …

Content with our meal and ready to burn off some calories, we headed back to our B&B. We both thought this was a very memorable day and one we thoroughly enjoyed!

Having walked for the entire afternoon, we took a break to people watch and enjoy some of the famous food of the region. We enjoyed some seafood tonight as Ravenna is on the Adriatic Coast and the seafood is excellent. We finally returned to our room about 9:30 after a very long but enjoyable day.

A few snippets of our 1.5 days in Milan. What a wonderful city! We only came here as a fly-out point but it has been a great experience.

I love the cathedral here, beats Florence hands down. I think it is its wedding cake outside appearance, and the fact we did a good tour that included inside, the archeological site and exhibition underground (very well done) and the upper "terraces" ...

There are a few words I picked up mainly from the Spanish I know which let us know where to ride and what fish he was catching. He was delightful The video and photo show how they lower these large nets into the water, leave them there for five or ten minutes and then ...
