      The tourists in Bologna

Great town. It is my favourite Italian town so far. The others prefer Florence to Bologna but not me. I like the wide streets and bigger shops. The people are very chic and stylish and very friendly. They love their dogs and there are plenty of dogs of all types and sizes wandering around. Surprisingly, not that much doggy dos. Either the Bog Dogs are constipated or there is a doggy do fairy running around with a bag because I don't see many ...

      Burials in Bologna

... Gentileshci. After nearly three hours she came out dazed and happy. So much so that even after a refreshing glass, and a relax in the hotel, she could not get her head together enough to order dinner! She reckoned she was on a (legal!!) high. Dinner was taken at one of the several trattoria near the hotel, and was very good, as well as being surprisingly cheap compared to the city centre only a short distance ...

Well, the answer turned out to be round ...

... hours and a bit gazing at Reni, Guercino, Caracci, and a stack of others. Wonderful.

Michael had seen enough in about 30 minutes so went off to explore Bologna on his own. First of all it is a very historic city. You can see, without being told, that every single building has a long and fascinating history. Almost every building (and there are many) has its own architectural style. Everywhere you look, there ...

      Bon giornio family and friends
We've spent 10 beautiful days in Bologna with almost perfect weather. We expected cool temperatures but mostly we've had warmth (mid 70s) and sunshine. We've walked the city, eaten at many cafes and restaurants and have been enjoying every minute.

One day we took a cooking class in someone's home and learned how to make pasta the Bolognese way. With "big Carlos"', ...
