... the Villa Necchi Campaglio. An Art Deco building by architect Portaluppi. Afterwards I wandered over to Expogate. I left Milan for Bologna the next day where I met Elizabeth and Phillip for a couple of days. Elizabeth introduced me to her oldest friend Lesley. We went to the Escher exhibition, surveyed the gelaterie and ate well. A lot of fun. I really do love Bologna, and it's kilometres of porticos, wide streets coloured in terracottas and ocres. It has a scale that ...
