... and some dancing. It was so nice outside we opted to skip the Congo and chicken dance and chat with like minded travellers. Fun fact: in the forest near Miltenberg there are millions of frogs that migrate to the river during spring. As so many were getting killed by traffic a tunnel was built under the road so the frogs would have safe passage to the river ...

... were done, like it was soup. The best bit was when the bartender came to collect our bowls and asked how it was, and when Dad said he loved it, this bloke thought he was a freak - he couldn't stand it, didn't get the fuss about the dish at all! Once we were done, we headed off back towards the river, and stopped in at another little old pub for another drink - we decided this was probably the best way to work our way back into the city centre. ... from being bored out of our minds and spending the day in the hostel! Kim decided to see the Lake Shkodėr, while Jas and I decided to go to Albania and visit the city of Shkodėr on the other side of the lake. (I should mention here that I have seen the name of this city written as Skadar, Shkodra, Skoder, and Shkodėr; I'm sticking with the last one for the purpose of this post!)

... back to the hotel was a spur-of-the-moment boat ride on the Main River. About 50 8-to10 year old boys on a field trip from a French rugby club made trip lively.

What's trip to the city without a little street music. On the pedestrian bridge above the river, a well lubricated but energetic street band blasted out a range of eclectic tunes to an young, enthusiastic crowd.
