    ... free use of cookers and microwaves. The electricity was not metered, so we used their electric to heat the water for the shower in the MH, made sure we used the electric fire in the mornings and evenings and the electric ring on the cooker!!!

    ... available and we were able to do our weekly laundry. Julie was so excited she had an attack of the vapours!!

    The rest of the day was spent relaxing, wandering around this lovely, unusual little harbour and generally chilling, preparing ourselves for crossing the Kattegat tomorrow (sounds more dramatic than it is, given that the wind looks favourable although to be fair, the seas can be horrendous here ...

    ... Brits again! They are based near Falmouth and have many, many years’ sailing experience. Jake is an ex-navy captain and one time, they lived for a couple of years in Annapolis, where he taught navigation in the US navy school there, so quite close to my sister & her family, across the Chesapeake on Kent Island, Maryland.

    Later on, once the Backus’ had left, we had a chilli and watched an episode of 'Mrs Brown’s Boys’. Great fun and the end to a lovely ...

    ... that in July, the factory is closed! Ah well, at least we got to see a couple of new ones floating, two 56 footers and a huge 64 footer, with a price tag of well north of a million pounds. In fact, curiosity drove me to look for prices and it was € 1,985,000 and that was for the basic boat with no electronics!!
