... discovered over 1450, although it's clear the McGavocks couldn't pay for all these. Carrie kept copious notes of all the bodies they found and there is a cemetery register highlighting where each body is buried. Many were un identifiable other than their state, so they are buried as unknown.
One of the brothers contracted an illness during this and died within 3 days. He is buried with the Texans, with a gravestone marking the spot where the only citizen not to fight in ...
