      Reflection

A travel blog entry by philji on Dec 22, 2014

Well just under a week to go and time for a little reflection. What makes this place special? It is crowded, noisy and full of scenes of great suffering at times.... but it is also full of a sense of community, people coming together and laughing and crying together, it is full of a sense of freedom where people can come and practice a spiritual path and ...

Well, time to unpack my luggage, put away clothes and pack for London/Germany/etc. ...

... We then got talking about Wales (on the topic of his home town) and found out we were going on the same bus! His name was Simon and he was so much fun to talk to. We sat together on the bus and he taught me many things about Wales; he also offered to help guide me as to where to go and what to see in Wales! Its funny how things turn out, all of this came from that damn pigeon...its incredible if you think about it (or maybe i'm just overtired) I ...

... them from Gomde UK and enjoyed a nice meal with them on their last night here. Thu. Spent the morning practicing by the Stupa and after lunch Dorothy called wanting us to go to the big supermarket by the Hyatt with her. We took a short cut thru the Hyatt and saw how the other half live with a beautiful swimming pool and luxurious lobby... 5 star luxury. Later on over to Shechen monastery with Dorothy where she took us to the room where the famous master ...
