... is apparently a $200 charge.  So the lady asked me, "Can you fit stuff in your carry ons?"  I replied, "For $200, I sure as hell can."  I only had to wear 3 jackets through security to make it happen ;) The flight was a smooth 5 1/2 hours and business class was as expected - excellent service, 3 course meal, hot towels for your face and hands, unlimited tv shows/movies, and free drinks.  For my first FREE drink, I wanted Bailey's Irish Cream so ...

Bobs big brekky kicked the day off to a great start: a full English breakfast with a new addition, a Scottish scone, which is similar to a piece of flat pita bread and tastes wonderful. We were, once again, amazed at how fortunate we had been with weather, as it was raining again today as we drove to betws-y-coed, again thankful that all the distances were so short and the driving so little.

... that is now Jacob and my mission in life. We now have Sir Tristan and I was holding him in the village walking around while also eating a sandwich, sort of looking like a crazy person (nothing new). Speaking of Snowdonia, while driving around we had to stop so a sheep could cross the road. We were all screaming in the car partly from excitement and fear we would hit him. After leaving the area we went to Gloucester ...

... a VS. After a little traverse we found another route up and continued to the top!

The views were spectacular and we took some time exploring the top and leaping between Adam & Eve rocks - very scary. Not a big gap but you are so high up that it feels like you may fall to doom! Luckily we did not. From here we descended a little to then climb up Bristly Ridge. This was a very hands on ...

Keen to do some more route bagging in preparation for our SPA we headed to Craig Caseg Fraith Isaf, which had lots of fairly short routes for our grades. We had a lovely sunny day and managed to get lots of routes done. After some lunch we moved on to Tryfan Bach, a nice big slab of rock taking 2 pitches to sail up. I think I placed 1 bit of gear up for the entire climb! It was so slabby you could pretty much just scramble up it hands and feet. Another good days climbing!
