Poor Beaver

A travel blog entry by beavernslug

After a very uncomfortable and anxious night Beaver had a call from the insurance company saying that they had made an appointment for her at a clinic. She got up, checked out and sat nervously waiting until 1 pm when she had ordered a taxi. As no taxis accept credit cards her last £30 was used on getting to the clinic. She was a bit early, but better early than late. Eventually a very hot doctor called Beaver in for her appointment. In no time at all she was ...

... On the bus to Ealing Broadway. Had to buy clothes for Jack because we just realised ( 2 weeks into holiday)!that none of his clothes actually fit him. Then back to Kew, drop off shopping, and into town. We are giving these Oyster tickets a run for their money. It had been sort of fine up to this point. I put on my ear goggles for only the second time in London, and let Jorge Ben be the soundtrack to my swift trek up dirty boulevards ...

... and the top three selling home goods, goods for women, and goods for men. We were able to sample some of the ham there, which apparently came from a very rare white pig that was then air-dried cured for 12 months. It was by far the most delicious ham I have ever eaten. We also sampled some venison salami from Ireland that was equally delicious. I would have bought some if not for the price of 14 pounds per 100 grams! F&M also had departments that ...
