One of the main reasons we are in Zhoushan, China is to run an Instructor Trainer course. The course took place from August 15-17 and included 10 candidates. The background of the candidates was quite different from the candidates that would take the course Canada as they were all teachers or university professors, whereas in Canada the majority of the candidates that take the course are aquatic professionals. Travelled from Amsterdam to Hongkong on Cathay Pacific airlines. After a 4 hour stop over, boarded a Dragon air plane to Ningbo. This was a shorter 1:55 hour flight. The local driver was waiting in his Chinese VW car. We drove for 1 hour to the Ferry station. Then caught the ferry to Zhoushan Island. The trip car and passenger ferry took 30 minutes. ... I'll try to head out early, find a few temples, get back to the hotel to wash and check out by noon, haul my bags down to the checked luggage office at the port, and then explore a bit more before the 4:40pm overnight departure back to Shanghai.
