... Issy and I were excited beyond belief as we had finally reached the destination of the giant floating play ground we had looked forward to all week. It was well worth the anticipation. We paid about 40kn each and got a bright orange arm band for an hour on the playground, which you had to swim across the shallow waters of the beach to get to. Once we hopped on we immediately became aware that even standing up on the slippery surface was going to be a challenge, but a ...

      DAY 228–229 – 15/08/13-16/08/13 – SPLIT – MAKARSKA RIVIERA – SPLIT

We woke up determined not to be put off by the lack of what Australians would consider "proper beaches" and pushed out toward the little townships of the Makarska Riviera. Fruity beer also gets a thumbs up. Took some nice photo's of the butterflies on the flowers out the back of the house. Enjoyed hanging off the lilo out in the ocean with Auntie Flo havin the chats. Was fun having Connie and Jim round for lunch on our last ...

I've even seen birds of paradise and calla lilies in gardens, not to mention the vibrant flowers that seem to grow everywhere just naturally - the sea and in particular boats, any kind I just love looking at them though being on one is even better. Bonus points if it goes fast ;) -incredible food. Seriously we have eaten so well it seems everything is great because of the fresh ...
