... glimpses of the great views back over the city toward to the west. There was a surprising amount of construction going on in these 'established' suburbs. The wealthy buy $10m houses, demolish them and build $20m ones. Huge houses with million $ views. In one street we came across a tree down over the road and we had to detour through someones drive. We'd prepared for a missed connection or no bags to arrive, but thank goodness it wasn't to be! We got a shuttle from the airport ($18 each) to our Airbnb apartment in Venice beach. It was almost 24hrs from start to end so we hit the pillow as soon as we arrived.

Our body clocks were a bit out and we ...

... We then walked along Hollywood Bvd and looked at some more stars and hand prints (still haven't located Brad's), and then walked up through the Dolby theatre, which was just amazing. As you walk up the stairs, the large theatre columns list in lights all the films to ever win an Oscar since the event began. It was fabulous and I ended up adding to my list of films I need to watch. We then walked back to our hotel, rounding off a beautiful day in Los Angeles ...
