    ... and some dancing. It was so nice outside we opted to skip the Congo and chicken dance and chat with like minded travellers. Fun fact: in the forest near Miltenberg there are millions of frogs that migrate to the river during spring. As so many were getting killed by traffic a tunnel was built under the road so the frogs would have safe passage to the river ...

    ... were on, yes all the marquees were set up, yes there was music. But there was nobody home - a distinct lack of people and stalls was a sure-fired way to hit a roadblock on this festival and our plans. Turns out the festival didn't start till tomorrow night. What type of tourist bus was this? One that gave inferior information? One whose frequency was less than one an hour? One that didn't keep up to date with road closures? One that got local events completely wrong? Yes to all ...

    After lunch we strolled around some more and then back along the river where we stopped into a coffee spot - ostensibly for a couple of coffees. Finally, we headed back to the hostelry to try and make up for the time change and ****** airplane sleep. And, to be clear, it was not ******-airplane sleep it was ******-sleep on the excellent airplane.

    I think everybody had some good sleep but me. My sleep was fitful and sporadic and not particularly reinvigorating. By 6:00 ...

    ... funny to watch them all. We stayed in the bar for hours, chatting about our travels and our cultures and teaching English to a guy called Joshua. It was a lush evening and great to meet some many people from other countries!
