Fair enough you might say, except that I was astonished to see both these boys (they were small for 9) get onto a motorbike after serving us and drive off! Like it was the most normal thing in the world at the age of nine to get onto a full sized motor bike with gears and drive it like you were born on it!!! In the evening I met Tami and we got the train to Jakarta for her wing chun class. It was about 1 minute after leaving the train station that I decided I really don't like Jakarta, along with everyone else I've met!
It was filthy, bumper to bumper in traffic all beeping and pouring out fumes that made m cough and squint my eyes, it was a hullabaloo, and I didn't like it one bit. The problem with java in particular is the traffic, wall to wall, dirty, ...
Excited again or bored now?
... shade for a bit, there were a couple of people that cycled up to us trying to sell water, cigarettes, loads of stuff they had piled on the bike. They both had jeans, hoodies and caps on, it's absolutely boiling today and there having to cycle all that stuff around too... Crazy!! We've just come back now to chill out for a bit, we're moving on tomorrow evening so going to find a swimming pool tomorrow and waste the day there, hopefully getting somewhere else will excite us all ...

On an equally positive note, my teaching is now coming on from strength to strength and I’m really starting to relax. My classes at the Catholic School (St Ursula’s) are going great and a few of the girls have said I’m the best teacher they’ve ever had – aaah!
Oh and something to make you laugh. The riots in London have been all over the news here ...
