We left sunny Shanghai and travelled along the freeway for a few hours to reach the ancient historical capital of Hangzhou, one of 8 capitals in China's history and the home of our sister school, No14 Hangzhou Middle School.

We arrived and were invited to join the senior students celebrate International Day in the school Gym. The students ...

... however put us off going in for a little dip. This was a strange and squelchy experience, not to be repeated any time soon. After some tasty Korean food and a good nights sleep we got back on our bus and headed to Shanghai!! Hangzhou gets a thumbs down, pretty boring, terrible food (or excellent depending on your view of meat) and Steph being terrible at the drums. Moganshan gets a thumbs even, pretty place but put off by snakes in the grass and missing the ...

... dishes in the shower/toilet/washing machine drain room, and blow all the food bits on the same floor that gets my whiskers, washing machine spooge, and other particles that I hesitate to mention. Just cooking some one pot curries would be ok, I can find all the ingredients for that. I want to make scrambled eggs, but don't want the clean up... and since they don't date the eggs here... I don't want any embryonic surprises either.
