Awake Too Early, On A Train

... have time because we thought we were going to miss our train. I will say here and now, that despite all the warnings I had been given, we did decide to travel during a public holiday. Was it as bad as I imagined? No, but it was still horribly crowded and hectic. So, standing in a huddle, fuming, our group spent about ten minutes trying to brainstorm a plan in the event that we missed our next train. It's at this point that Morgan, the one native ...

That is right, it is back to hairdresser day. I had the lovely Morgan and Dannielle organise my haircut on the internet, as it is much cheaper. Morgan sent me a couple of texts written in Chinese to my phone, so I could show the people at the hairdressers. I left early with Cleo as she was sick so I will have to checkout today how it all finished. David was intending to ...

... wise. This is one of the few stations we visited where there was no ATM facility, as they are all over most stations we visited. We queued anyway as the boy spotted a credit card machine at the ticket counter. Yes, they have a machine - but they don't actually take cards. (Go figure!)

So we couldn't buy the tickets whilst we were there, and left knowing we would need to come back later. I can't wait until train tickets can be bought online in English!

    Songshan Shaolin

A travel blog entry by tszyiu on Mar 19, 2009

19/3/09 We went to Songshan Shaolin at the morning where I had longed for so long! There were many children and youngsters learning Kung Fu that shocked me. The only colour you may see was red! We watched a great Kung Fu performance, it let me realized how great the ShaoLine Kung Fu is. I bought lots of souvenirs! The Shaolin T-shirts was very cheap, 10 dollar only! Shaolin was a great travel spot but ...
