... in foreign media, I am beyond excited about finally making it out to see some of Chinas old Silk Road. I have four days worth of clothes, sunscreen, my trusty leatherman, a stun gun (which I am morbidly hoping to finally have a chance to use), and a can-do attitude. Camel riding, sand dunes, the annual Turpan grape festival, and some obscenely long train rides await. I'll keep you ...

The room was very basic, but it was clean, warm and had a bathroom so we didn't have to use the communal facilities. One particularly note-worthy part of my room was the fact that the curtain ensuring privacy for those in the bathroom was on the side of the bedroom. ... The character with my name waves her hands around a lot - I wonder where he got that from. Todd's character is called Dewey, which I thought was funny as that is Jenny's dog's name and he was named after a TV character from "Malcolm in the Middle", I think. David read the script and didn't even pick up his character even though the name included most of his name.
Migs came by and cleaned up my computer. It was going really slow so hopefully things will move a ...

... most of the people were locals who just like to pracise their English with us. This is really good but it is vey draining.
There were about 40 people there and some kids. The parents are all proud of their children, as we all are, and force the kids to talk to us. The kids are naturally shy and find this difficult. One little boy came up and read some pages to me about himself. He was very good and his English perfect. There were quite a few Uni students who ...
