    ... 000 carvings, the earliest from the 5th century and some as tall as 57 ft. The carvings were impressive but in almost 40c while suffering from a cold picked up on Mt Huashan, I didn't enjoy myself much!     ... to pad my bed tonight with the foam cushion from the lounge. The locals don't sleep on anything soft that's for sure, the beds are just a big wooden Box covered in material, if they put a mattress on it , then its usually one about 2 inches thick. Not quite like we are used to.
