So, will we be able to get back to Thailand from Cambodia? From Phuket I wanted to travel to Hua Hin to meet up with my friend Colin, who was in Thailand after visiting China and North Korea. After researching, I decided I had 3 options:
1. Fly to Bangkok, shuttle bus to the large international airport, then 3hour coach
2. 5hour coach Phuket to Surit Tarni, wait for 4hours, then 6hour train ...

... roads here are very
very good, on this section of hwy4 the motorbike lane was wide enough for a
truck and in parts there were 3 other lanes for cars, bus’s and trucks. The
traffic here is fairly well behaved for SEA, most drivers have been well
educated. (I said most).

several watering rest stops and a fairly uneventvle ride up hwy4 I arrived at in HuaHin around 2pm and

... Hua Hin is we've eaten some of the best food here that we've had in Thailand. I really would recommend if anyone's here to go eat at Oceanside! We went here earlier on in the stay and again on one of our last nights. Such a chilled place, right by the sea and does amazing food and even better cocktails! We could have stayed forever on the chill out beds, very much enjoyed just spending hours there as you can see from our pics!

... the middle of the road, hell let's go in the wrong lane for fun and only go back into the right one when a car is at your windsheild. Ah yes, the joy of Thai drivers. It was insane to see bright yellow tuk tuks, and pictures of the king almost every ten yards. They really are possibly the most patriotic country I've ever come across. Hmm, that makes me sound like a seasoned traveller...really really not. Every time they cross a temple or a portrait of the king, gone our the hands on ...
