I haven't done a blog update in some time, primarily because I've been too preoccupied enjoying myself or lecturing Chris and James about what morals are, I'm confident they will learn someday, although I think their combined toilet habits could completely ruin the American plumbing network. Scratch that, their toilet habits have ruined it, or at least the plumbing in our past five hotels. Anyway, I'm talking ****, quite literally in this case. Moving on, there are two things I ...

Historical Traveler Reviews Luna Sea Motel Cocoa Beach
We had stayed here several times before so we went back about a week ago. I had also written a review of this place back in August 2003, and had raved about it.
Luna Sea is basically nice, a good value
I was surprised to see a couple of really negative reviews of this hotel. We found it quite nice, with the only real negative being that our room was tiny. With 2 double beds supposedly accomodating 4 people, we could barely move around. But the pool was very nice, heated and nice furniture. We could walk next door to the 7-11 and across the street just aways to the beach. The continental breakfast was very nice - lots of items for that kind of thing, plus lovely seating in the lobby area to eat.
Quaint and friendly.
It was the name that caught my attention so we decided to stay one night and ended up staying on for a few days. The location was great, I walked to the beach everyday. The price was reasonable. The pool was heated and sparkling. The room was clean and the staff were friendly.
I would stay there again. Thank you for your hospitality.
We have stayed there 3 times & planning to go back! The first two times were great, but the last time was a bit disappointing, because I think they were switching ownership. I still thought it was ok. However, the pool was cold. We mentioned this to the staff and they said they would turn up the heater. Some of the other reviews put it down (it's not a place to go if you're planning to stay in your room your whole trip).
Quiet, Nice Stay
We had a nice; comfortable stay; including swimming after dark with many people; with no rowdy's. Was good place to be with my teen daughter. Sorry the loud mouth's review in Oct. '03 wasn't good; I enjoyed it for the value.
Most horrible experience that my friends and I ever had. We travel a lot as a group and never had a problem.
The worst experience in our lives!!!
The accomodations were acceptable- is the only decent comment I can possibly say. The hotel front desk clerk/manager/owner made our stay at this establishment unbearable. If you are looking for a hotel to stay which allows fun, this is not the place to go. The management requires complete silence at the pool at 5pm, and has no tolerence for any gatherings of any social sort.
