... in medieval times, some children heard singing up in the mountain caves, and discovered this statue. We had a very western looking, Spanish, mother and daughter in front of us and you could see the emotion building in them, the closer we got to the front and once they reached the front, they were able to hold the statue's hand (the rest being behind a glass case) and prayed. I just got a photo since we had queued for nearly an hour!

... around Girona looking for a croissant fix. I also want to mention that Nestle has a brand of coffee they sell here called "Bonka". What a great name for coffee. I think I'll have my cup of Bonka and I'll be ready to face the day. While we are on the subject of food I finally found a little cafe that makes pancakes. It has taken me three weeks but I have finally found them and they were very good. Eureka! Pancakes are a big part of my breakfast diet ...

... Neil takes clients of the bike shop out for rides so he really knows the roads in the area. He told me that he and his wife have recently moved to the city. He also mentioned that there is cycling year round here and there is a group that gets together to ride during the winter months. Quite a lot of people around, very pleasant, found a nice park where Francesca played on the playground for a while then back to the Rambles, where we found a table for lunch, I suggested we should get a table with an umbrella as it looked like rain. Good thinking, as it did start to rain, not very heavy though so the parasol gave us enough protection.

The rain didn’t last long so we had a nice walk back ...
