After a long day of traveling we finally arrived in Tamarindo Costa Rica. The second we got to our room we immediately fell asleep due to extreme exhaustion! A few hour laters we woke up and went for a walk around the town and to the beach. This town is definitely right up our alley! There are many Americans and almost everyone is conversational in english. It seems like 80% of the people here are tourists which we don't mind at all! Well yesterday I turned 20! After all the traveling, I didn...

Tamarindo, Province of Guanacaste, Costa Rica albert413... but I will add more when I get a chance.
Need to Talk about the Blandy's, especially Barney as I will call him, he thinks he is creative because he can spell his name backwards, he is jealous of his wife's success and her superior surfing skills and she is super nice. No matter what we think he is not happy, the sand is too sandy, water is too salty, the sun is too hot etc...its hilarious.

... and started looking for another place to stay.
The next hostel rocked, it had just opened 2 days earlier, it offered surf lessons , was closer to the beach, all good.
I was going to just spend a few days in Tamarindo waiting for my ATM card to turn up and getting a few surf lessons. Since the hostel was new and had a good crowd of people staying, and there was going to be a big party at the end of the week I ended up staying in town for a week.
... named Felix start talking to me as we were waiting for some waves. He said he still reacts when he touches a jellyfish as well. He also said I looked comfortable on the board, not wobbling around. :) It is amazing what just a lil practice can do!! And maybe my luck (no actual stings) will continue tonight and Felix will be at reggae night. ;)
Tamarindo, Province of Guanacaste, Costa Rica adivine3... falling off and breaking an arm. After claiming our beds, we began to investigate the belongings of our roommates, at which point I made a significant discovery: we had boy room-mates!!!! I had very wrongly assumed that the hostel segregated its rooms by sex, but that did not appear to be the case. Again, in the spirit of letting go-and since it was only for one night-I let it pass and we went to enjoy a dinner at Burger King (after three ...
La Fortuna, Costa Rica moppet77... what do we have here, one in the shower the size of a small animal. Mike had to smash it a few times before it passed away. Great, now how am I gonna sleep? Here I am preoccupied with having my "stuff" stolen and we´re greeted by this roommate. The whole ordeal is more of an inconvenience than anything, but it gnaws at me when I mentally add up the cost of the items in my head. Our bus journey to La Fortuna departs at 7 ...
La Fortuna, Costa Rica travljini... very peacefull, clean and heart warming. i got my room for 10$ a night. So in that city, I got to surf for my first saturday. No to many big waves but maybe i was off season. On sunday I got to dive the whole day with Agua Rica. They were a bit expensive but really nice. it came up at 90$ per day with equipment. I got to pet some white tips sharks and 2 sting rays. How did I did it? Not to sure.... I went gently from behind and slowly ...
Tamarindo, Costa Rica grandaventurier... link words in Irish by accident for the first few hours after coming home..well the Ticos of Tamar gringo are like that..it`s like they`re more comfortable speaking English- There were more real estates than restaurants. In fairness, the property when compared with Ireland is dirt cheap so it`s no surprise that every second tourist is digging into the bank accounts to invest. In addition to this, the Development Initiatives coalition ...
Playa Tamarindo **, Costa Rica roro>Shane and I spent the day on the beach in this fiesty little town. It was HOT and HUMID with a slight sea breeze. No waves to report, it was also on shore, but we made the most of it. After a cheap breakfast of the best coffee I ever tasted and some French pasteries, we walked about 45 minutes down the beach, where Shane occupied himself by unearthing tiny hermit ...
