Today we got up and headed to the Jaguar Sanctuary a little further out of town. We arrived greeted by a toucan sitting on the gate and lots of people, which made us hope it would be good. We had an hour and a half tour around the place, which has lots of volunteers, and saw sloths, toucans, wild cats, crocs, camens frogs, owls, snakes and even got to go into the monkey enclosure and play with a little spider ...
Quick brekkie and we leave at 11am - not a big fan of San Jose so looking forward to Puerto Viejo. Quick stop for lunch, then back again on the bus. Got to Puerto Viejo at around 4pm, omg it is so hot and humid!! But love being back in the Carribean and the beach :) Booked myself for a mini hike in manzanilla park reserve tomorrow - will hopefully see some sloths and snakes and poisonous frogs! ... very low key Christmas, but a lovely one. Christmas Day was Skype central, catching up with what Santa had delivered to Ireland and Australia, and also breaking the news of our engagement. A few fruity cocktails by the pool that evening topped it off!
