      Puerto Viejo

Today we got up and headed to the Jaguar Sanctuary a little further out of town. We arrived greeted by a toucan sitting on the gate and lots of people, which made us hope it would be good. We had an hour and a half tour around the place, which has lots of volunteers, and saw sloths, toucans, wild cats, crocs, camens frogs, owls, snakes and even got to go into the monkey enclosure and play with a little spider ...

Quick brekkie and we leave at 11am - not a big fan of San Jose so looking forward to Puerto Viejo. Quick stop for lunch, then back again on the bus. Got to Puerto Viejo at around 4pm, omg it is so hot and humid!! Eeekk, been misled by the real nice hotel in San Jose, me and Krysten got ...

On Stephens Day we packed up Jennay for the last time and set out on the road to Puerto Viejo. 5 hours later, after passing through some beautiful countryside, we arrived at the infamous ...

... the fan we slept like babies!!! I will say the internet connection here is so
much better than the jungle place we had last year. The only issue here is making the time to
      work on this blog!!

We are so close to the equator so there is exactly 12 hours
of sunshine and 12 hours of dark 6 am 6
      pm.

The most interesting thing about mornings here is the Howler

... s notoriously pricey and partly because of our policy of 'travelling’ rather than visiting places we might otherwise go to on holiday. So we left San Juan Del Sur, on the Pacific coast, just north of the Costa Rica border, at sunrise just before 6am, and arrived at Puerto Viejo on the Southern Caribbean coast of Costa Rica, just ...
