... minutes later we arrived at Meno and went off to find snorkeling gear for everyone. Once they were set up, we headed off down the path to a spot mentioned in our guidebook as a good snorkeling area you could access from the beach. We found some beach huts at a hotel which was being built and settled in for the day. We first went out in front of the huts and walked out for a long ways before it got deeper. The whole Seminyak/Kuta areas are full of bars, designer clothes shops and Starbucks, and is great if you like that kind of thing, but it's not for us. We even found Sanur too touristy, but i'd recommended it to most families for a visit. Sanur also has Peekaboo. This is a 'soft play' place that is divided into areas. There is a book corner, a 'home corner' with lots of play kitchens, a ball pit and ...

... turtles off the shore of an island paradise. As one of our final memories of the trip, it was pretty special.

It wasn't our final destination of the trip, but leaving Gili Meno felt symbolic; as the last beach, the last remote(ish) outpost of a trip full of them. All that remains is a brief visit to Singapore, and then we return to the UK. We're feeling reflective, nostalgic and more than a little bit sad that it's nearly over.

Next stop: Singapore!
