    All the males, and a lot of females, in this part of Europe sound like Vladimir Putin in that they have a low gutteral growling type of drawl. It’s scary but it almost makes our Australian version of the English language sound almost lyrical. Only joking!

    ... waters during spring time and completely freezes over in winter. Some years it's possible to walk from shore to shore across its frozen mass. Our trip from Salzburg was short at only 1.5 hours so we arrived in the early afternoon after a decent sleep in.     The photos speak for themselves about today. We could not believe when we woke up what a glorious morning we had. Breakfast at the guest house was simple buy delicious, bread rolls, cold meat, cheese, good coffee. There were a number of Japanese and Chinese staying at the gust house, I think we were the only European. Going to the lake we caught the bus, as we had the Berchtesgaden card it was free.
