... temple hill their home. Sadly one we saw had its hands clean chopped off. We were not sure what fate had befallen him but he seemed a fighter and happy with the temple food we gave him. After zooming back to our accommodation on our bikes, we took the opportunity to explore the area by foot. ... and I don't think they sell replacements at the Panjim Bus Station!!)

The next day (Friday 1 November), we left the bags at the hotel and caught the bus to Colva Beach in Margao, one of the larger beaches in the area. We expected to find a Benidorm-style beach resort, but were pleased to find a large expanse of white sand and blue sea, with relatively few people. I found a cute crab hiding in a small sea-shell, which I made Mr H pick up, to photograph.

      Passage from India

A travel blog entry by ploncko on Feb 10, 2013

My wife and I had the misfortune to fly from Goa to Singapore on two flights with Air India. At Goa it took over two hours to be checked in by most unhelpful airline staff, and they would not check our baggage to Singapore, but only as far as Chennai. After arriving we collected our luggage and went through the procedure again thinking oh well ...
