    ... School continues to be very busy. I’m amazed how many extra things we can pack into the days, besides the teaching. In the last 2 weeks we’ve finished a reading marathon, had a talent show for our campus, held the annual spelling bee and I took my class on a half day excursion to bike around a lake. We did bike (a story all on its own) but never found the lake! All was well because we ended up at an air conditioned McDonald’s ...

    ... keeps the handle from turning) which doesn't work for my little baby padlock, but there was basically no one else there so I just used the luggage locks on my zippers and slept with my backpack near my head and that was good enough for me. There are also really nice bathrooms - the room has two bathrooms in the room, both of which have a toilet and shower and sink.     ... we were starving hungry we went to find something to eat. We struggled to find places near the river but ended up in a fast food noodle place where I was a bit hesitant to pick a dish so asked the member of staff serving how spicy it was. I think she misunderstood what we were saying (just said 'okay' a lot) but when the noodles came they were mega spicy and my face was sweating a lot, I couldn't finish mine. Even Rob was struggling!
