Yesterday was our first full day in Hong Kong and all I can say is that I absolutely love it here, maybe even my favourite city everrrr! We got the metro to central and took the star ferry across to Kowloon for the day. The ferry cost the equivalent of 20p and the views were amazing, all high rise and modern. We walked around on the other side and went to Kowloon park. It was a lovely park with waterfalls, ponds, an aviary, an outdoor swimming pool, a Chinese water terrace, a ...

We transited off the Vancouver to Hong Kong plane through another security gate to a long waiting area where we had to wait another 4 hours to board the flight from HK to Johannesberg. I wasn't too impressed with the area of the Hong Kong airport we went through. They did however ensure there was lots of seating space at each departure area. I was getting a bit punch drunk due ...

We did bike (a story all on its own) but never found the lake! All was well because we ended up at an air conditioned McDonald’s ...

... on a River Safari and then we did the Night Safari. We enjoyed both but I was thrilled to see pandas on the river safari so have lots and lots of photos.

Sunday - we went on a duck tour which was an hour in a vehicle that drives on land and goes in water. These were made by the U.S. in the Second World War. This was great fun. We then went on a cable car across to Sentosa Island where we went to an amazing acquarium. Tomorrow we are going back to do universal studios. ...

... The drop from the top is pretty crazy so wasn't sure if Carl would look over but in the end he did! Brave Boy!

We had seen on the map that there was a Zoological and Botanical Garden not far from the tram station so went to explore. This was awesome as it is free and there were loads of different types of animals including a Borneo Orangutang, who's name was Burty and he had dread locks.

        The walk back ...
