    ... back in 1793 and 1794 by slaves in honor of their leader, Queen Victoria. The 65 steps represent the years that it took for Queen Victoria to abolish Slavery. Today we are going to climb up the stairs and learn lots about the stairs. As we got out of the cab at the Staircase it looked like on of the coolest staircases I have ever seen.     ... the historic streets of New Plymouth. It was spectacular. The only comparison we can make is a lot like Mardi Gras in New Orleans. Pictures coming soon.

    January 3, 2015 - We got some much appreciated help this morning from the skipper and his friend on the Valiant docked next to us. Denny's sciatica has been bothering him so Guy and Tom offered to help us put our headsail and main sails on. We couldn't have done it without you both. Thanks so much.

    ... and shutting her down, we stayed with Phil & Tammy for the night in New Baltimore. It was great to see them again and Gabbie & Grif as well. Saturday, Dec. 6 we left for Chick & Dorothy's via Toledo, then US-80 to Cleveland then 77 South to West Virginia. Stayed at a Microtel and it rained all the way.

    Sunday, Dec. 7 we left at 7:30 a.m. for their house in Sun City and arrived at 3:30 pm. We had time to drop off our back packs ...

    ... Line ships. They do a three whistle blow, but then also do a "ship's whistle" version of the theme song for the 80's show: The Love Boat. It was so neat to hear this the first three times...but there must have been several Princess Cruise Liners leaving port one after another. After hearing the theme song three times in a row for 5 vessels it's not so cute anymore.  The wave forecast had been optimistic at best. I think the seas were much more ...
