Had a lovely dinner with the crew of Agave, on our second night here, at a "new" waterfront restaurant. I had coconut curried shrimp which may very well have been the best meal I've had in a Bahamian restaurant to date!
Finally we did all of our errands and chores so that we are ready ...
... all the improvements and construction done on Great Stirrup Cay. There are several nice beaches and a new lagoon. Very very nice and total worth another visit here. Those who have not visited Great Stirrup Cay; do it!
I love that Vera and I had this short getaway together, although Vera complained that I was too relaxed since I was taking afternoon naps :o)
Looking forward to our family vacation in two weeks from now.
... is now showing the time to be 1:48. Go figure. I still don't know what time it is. Got to breakfast and discovered it was actually 9:58 and they are getting ready to close the restaurant. Ordered pancakes and got some eggs off the buffet. Alice had already eaten and Charles and Bob had just ordered, so I made it in the nick of time. They brought me bread that was to die for. Had raisins, craisins and nuts. It was yummy. So far their breads are awesome ...

As we sit here in Georgetown, cruiser central, I can reflect on our time in the Bahamas.
Summary: High on beauty, wonderful people, lacking in convenience. There’s still about 150 miles of Bahamian islands to pass through, but we’ll be sailing past it with no more than (possibly) ...
We left Staniel Cay only after a day because it was starting to feel crowded. The anchor we were at on Big Majors had over 30 boats and the yacht from New Jersey was blasting their stereo the entire time we were anchored next to them. We decided to pull our anchor and head 5 miles down the Exuma to another settlement called Blackpoint. When we arrived, there was two other sailboats in a beautiful, protected and quiet bay.
