... As we approached lands end, the tide was slack and then slowly turned to throw us round the Lizard, perfect timing by yours truly! ( or probably sheer bloody luck!!).

Driving about 4 hours from Salisbury to Camborne, Cornwall, where my Dad was born and lived until he was 9. So excited to meet my Cousins Sandy Bennetts and Yvonne Wilkin! The B & B we're staying in is right around the corner from the home my Dad lived in, and just a couple blocks from my Grandma Mills' childhood home.

... opgelopen. Het lossen van zo'n schip duurt echt een hele tijd. Wij stonden met onze fietsen in een rij met dikke motorfietsen. Leuk dat die gasten toch met belangstelling naar onze "BIKE'" kwamen kijken. Een fiets met een riemaandrijving en ook nog hydraulische remmen, dat was nieuw voor deze bikers. Tegen half tien voer de ferry weg. Het was al donker en het was ook koud. Na een lekker hapje en een flesje wijn en dat bij een flinke deining kwam de slaap opzetten ...
