... we will take the midnight flight to Lima. While waiting, mom and I went "out" for dinner at a Cuban restaurant. We ate yuca, fried chicken, fried fish, spanish rice and plantains. The food was only ok but for the taste the price should be lower.
During the plane ride I like sitting by the window and seeing the view when we are in the clouds I took two pictures.

We said our good-bye’s on Friday morning, called Chicago cousins (Waller, Hanrahan, Ullrich) and gave them enough time to lock their doors if they wanted to… but instead we were welcomed to a slice of heaven on earth just outside of Chicago..

Most notably Jennifer's grandmother (the kids' great-grandmother) came to visit and got to spend some time watching the grandkids frolic in the pool. The evening ended off with the kids staging an elaborate grand opening of the "pet shop" including posters, billboards, a cash register, ...
Julie isn’t sure, but suggests that they build fires and sit around with friends and have a good time. She, on the other hand, is going fishing. Except that when we push through the reeds to look at the lake, we discover it’s so covered with duckweed and lily pads that the mallards are standing on it. Now Julie doesn’t have anything to do either, so we take a walk.
