Today was a little more of a relaxing day, trying to get over the full week of traveling.
The day was pretty dull, going to mall in the afternoon, spending way to much time on the computer till supper.
In the evening I went into town to meet up with a friend, and to meet some of her friends. I had never actually met this girl in person before, but we had talked for a couple of years, her ...
... hours later, I decided to get ready for the day. It had rained over the past few hours, and when I opened my window to let some air in and turned away, I heard a very disgruntled "meow' behind me. It turned out that Molly, the cat, had been stuck outside in the rain, and she was not happy. I let her in, and jumped around trying to stop her from drying herself off on my legs.
I eventually walked over to Carina's, in the rain, and from there decided to bike ...
... things every once in a while, got some acutal acting to do. Even take the guy who plays Draco got way more to do than he usualy did. He didn't just walk around saying nasty things to Harry the entire time, he got to show some range and actually got to do some things that really gave you insight into his character. I really loved the guy they cast as Slughorn, he was not as I imagined the character being, but I really liked the differences. Lavender Brown was hilarious, the only new ...
Gävle, Gävleborgs Län, Sweden mcphailc... up spending two hours sitting up above the shopping floor talking and watching people.
After wandering into the disco and seeing lots of people singing Finnish karaoke, leaving and coming back in later when dancing had started. At the start we just continued people watching, giving many of the people nicknames, such as "lonely guy" and "dancing guy". I did feel quite sorry for lonely guy, he was sitting there by himself in the corner for the first little ...
... the mall, but I just could not contain my excitement. Such good sale prices, and amazing clothing. I must have spent so much money that first day in the mall, I think that I may have lost my mind for the few hours that I was in the mall, I took a large chunk out of my spending money budget that day.
I also found that any jet lag that I thought I would have didn't exist, a bonus when trying to get the most out of every day in a trip that much to short.
... s flat, we get stopped by a few guys on a park bench that know Malin and who, you wouldn't believe it, were drinking beers. It was at this point that I realized I had become a member of what they call the "A" team, which in some form or another means the alcoholics... A few more drinks and we walk the remaining 2 minutes where I pass out for an early evening nap that I'm sure will be the end of my day. Oh ...
Vasteras, Sweden madman96... set out on our mission impossible as soon as possible. A few days later, I met Jonas by the cities only "sky scraper" (more like a sky scratcher) in order to inquire at the immigration office about residents permit. This mission, as with any mission, was not without a sense of danger since my inquiries of them would initiate their inquiries of me which meant it was likely that the authorities would discover my fugitive status. Would they show mercy a criminal ...
Västerås, Sweden sandramorrow... outside of Stockholm, up through Uppsala and we stopped "somewhere" outside of Gävle. Our first night of camping in the woods was looking rather hopeless, as we were unable to find spots where we could put up our tent. Here in Sweden, you are allowed to pitch up your tent anywhere in the forest, as long as it is not on someone's backyard. Sweden is very green, and the percentage of forest over here is rather large, so it was unlikely for us not to be able ...
Gävle, Sweden samira_steve... to bad American hip-hop, but then suddenly this magic door opened up, upstairs and Schlager music (cheery ABBA-esque sort of music) blasted out! It was like a magnetic force that pulled these Swedes upwards and the dead party came to life with people dancing like there was no tomorrow, until the place had to close at 2am (yes, they have lame closing hours here too.) Too bad I can't post audio clips on this site :-(
Uppsala, Sweden danwstephens... like Scooby-Doo) above right. During daylight hours there is less chance of moose spotting, so local sights are a better option instead. The Royal Winter Palace at Drottningholm is en route to Olof's and a beautiful piece of work that the Royal Family now actually lives in full time. Still, visitors are allowed to inspect parts of ...
