We walked up the stairs to the main level of the row house and sat to have our visit. We had a very nice slice of cherry pie and some mint tea as we talked. Bernard has had a lot of health issues over the last few years, but it doing well now. We caught up on church news and family news and plans for the future. We discussed the Belgian economy, and world events and future church activities as well. It was very nice ...
I guess the theme to all these posts is beer, but come on. We are in the Netherlands, Germany, and Belgium after all. As you can tell we drank some great Belgian beer and had some great chocolate. Tongeren was also interesting because it is one of the oldest towns in Belgium, so it had a lot of cool old buildings and crumbling cobblestone ...
... did was a trip out to some World War II caves. Apparently families hid in them and used them to cross the border (Germany and Belgium are only 20 minutes away). The city also had a beautiful old square, and we also stayed in a great bed and breakfast, which was basically on the 2nd floor of someones ...

We met up with the group on the train. Someone happened to have glue for my roommates wings. Then our 4 hour train ride to Liers began. We were pretty rowdy and excited. So many people were starring at us. It was now 4 and I was itching to pregame. i waited til 5 to feel somewhat socially accepted. Popped opened that bottle of wine. We then got to Liers where we had to change trains. Such a jank ass train stop. There were other guys dressed in white ...
... time, as always.
Our next stop is Italy, and we did not prepare much for that yet, so we went in to town to get some travel books and a big map. Because my honey is lost without her map. We also managed to squeeze in a haircut before heading out to my mother's place. It is always great to see them, and mommy had prepared a nice ham for dinner. We chatted for the rest of the evening catching up on the latest news from the family.
