        ... Very informative they said. It was the local nazi head quarters. Lots of the prisoners were 18 or younger, as these were the resistance fighters.

        We all meet at the Joest Museum, which is an ethnologic collection based on Mr Joest's travel acquisitions in the 1800's. The curation of the museum was really well done, with beautiful presentation, and thought provoking observations on religions, nomads, household organizations.

        Left Zutphen at around 11am after visiting town as explained on the previous entry. Mixed weather big time as you saw. Today we stay in the Ijssel and go towards Hasselt, another medieval town. Beautiful sceneries, on the way but also very wet locks. And at some point, as we accelerated (same as last time) passing a barge, here goes the alarm again. We let the guy pass us and phoned Linssen. We realize that the rpms of the right engine don't go any higher than 2000 rpm - ...

        Back at the house, we prepared dinner together. For Q first some carrots, potatoes and chicken wings. The chicken wings were marinated in the store and turned out to be too peppery for him. For ourselves Linda made some Hainan Chicken Rice. But it turned out that Quentin (who normally does not like anything besides fries, carrots and frikandel) loved the chicken.

        ... We finally had to pack it in about 11pm. We left them with 4 of our beers we brought to share and they sent us away with 4 of theirs. We make our way back to our car and stumble on a place still open for food called “Turk Oase”. We felt like we needed to eat a bite before heading back since we didn’t really have dinner. The place is huge and crammed with a phenomenal selection of weapons, uniforms and lots of the bigger things too like tanks from all over the world, ships (most are smaller replicas but there are also a few full-sized ones), as well as a huge hanger filled with fighter planes from everywhere, including Canada.
