Turtletown

... from mindless wanderings. I helped out as an actual divemaster today, herding two hopeless Dutch people around the Gulf of Aqaba, with an instructor in front. I spent the dive pushing them deeper or pulling them shallower, pointing them left and right, and laughing when the fat guy nearly descended on top of his girlfriend. Amusing. The instructor said I did well which I was surprised at... And onto a night dive tonight! Hopefully this one will be a bit more serene than the last. ...

Started my advanced course today, for that you have to do 5 specialty dives. ... and Amani and Vicky 2000. Really? You had to scrawl that over the top of graffiti that was thousands of years old!!! I’m speechless.

The next place we visited was one of the canyons that cover the area. Water and wind over the centuries has carved amazing canyons. The most popular is the White Canyon but we went to one where there would not be any other tourists. Unfortunately, several other tour operators had the same idea so we arrived with a bunch of ...
